HQDNS.

1. Open Settings → Network & internet, then select your active Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
2. Find DNS server assignment → Edit. Select Manual and enable IPv4.
3. Enter 185.215.166.168 as the preferred DNS server. Leave DNS encryption off for this resolver and save.

Keep your IP address settings unchanged. To undo, set DNS server assignment back to Automatic (DHCP). Menu names vary by Windows version.

1. Open your network settings and edit the active connection. These steps apply to desktops using NetworkManager.
2. In IPv4, keep the IP method as Automatic (DHCP). Turn off automatic DNS only.
3. Set the DNS server to 185.215.166.168, save, and reconnect.

To undo, enable automatic DNS again. VPNs, IPv6 DNS, or browser secure-DNS settings may use a different resolver.

1. Open Settings → Wi-Fi and edit the connected network. Look for Advanced options → IP settings.
2. If your device requires Static IP settings to edit DNS, first note the current IP address, gateway, and network prefix. Preserve these values; do not guess them.
3. Set DNS 1 to 185.215.166.168. If DNS 2 is mandatory, repeat the same address. Save.

This applies to that Wi-Fi network only. Do not enter this address or dns.hqdns.sarl in Android’s Private DNS hostname field: DNS-over-TLS is not announced. Device menus vary; if DNS editing is unavailable, configure DNS on your own Wi-Fi router instead. To undo, restore DHCP.

1. Open Settings → Wi-Fi and tap the information button beside your connected network.
2. Choose Configure DNS → Manual. Note the existing DNS servers before replacing them.
3. Add 185.215.166.168 as the DNS server and tap Save.

This applies to that Wi-Fi network only. To undo, return Configure DNS to Automatic. VPNs or other DNS profiles may override this setting.
